Flag Bill Unanimously Passed By House Committee

HB 18 was recently passed unanimously (15-0) by the House Committee on Armed Services, Veterans Affairs, and Public Safety.  The bill remains largely unchanged from when it was originally introduced, and targets mobile home parks and apartments, in addition to condominiums.

The purpose of the bill is to extend the protections now afforded to the exterior display of the U.S. Flag to window displays of blue and gold star banners and other flags.  The bill will now be scheduled for a vote by the full House.   To learn more from the Ohio House of Representatives and to read a copy of the legislation, click here.
