The producers of HGTV’s “House Hunters” decided to feature a home within a community association represented by Kaman & Cusimano. The producers asked the association to sign a liability release agreement before proceeding with filming, and the association board requested Attorney Andrew F. Meinert review the agreement to ensure the association’s interests were protected. In addition to more common provisions added to protect the association and its board members, the distinct nature of the agreement called for inserting language to protect the rights of association members who did not consent to being filmed. No matter how unique the request, Kaman & Cusimano is committed to addressing its clients’ legal needs.
