Michelle earned her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2016, after graduating magna cum laude from Saint Xavier University in Chicago in 2013. While in law school, Michelle served as a Staff Writer for the Dayton Law Review and competed on the Dayton Mock Trial Team. During law school, Michelle worked for a Fortune 500 insurance company handling insurance defense and subrogation matters and interned for Chief Magistrate Sharon L. Ovington of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Before joining Kaman & Cusimano, Michelle worked for law firms defending and advising private business, individuals, and Ohio political subdivisions in general counsel and complex business litigation matters. She has successfully tried cases and argued successful appeals throughout Ohio. At Kaman and Cusimano, Michelle focuses her practice on general litigation. While she is a zealous advocate in court, she enjoys assisting clients on efficiently resolving litigation issues.
Michelle is passionate about serving her community. She continues to serve by volunteering on non-profit organization boards, Wills for Heroes and Wills for Vets, among other legal and non-legal volunteer opportunities. Michelle received the Ohio State Bar Foundation District 2 Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under in 2018 and was a recipient of the Dayton Business Journal Forty Under 40 Award in 2019. Her passion to serve her community drives her ability to help clients on every matter.
